Paint Workshop

Barbara Dickerson now a member of the Artist guild of Columbia County will be teaching a workshop on color mixing in preparation to painting.She has taught painting for over 24 years in and around Atlanta. She has shown along the east coast form Gloucester, Ma. to Miami Fl.and then as far west as St. Louis Mi.

This two day workshop, August 22 & 23 (Sunday & Monday) on in depth color mixing.

Students would learn how to use the standard color wheel for the back of the wheel and the Stephen Quiller Color wheel for the front of the wheel. The emphasis is on mixing the color schemes and getting out of the box for creative color harmony so your paintings are unique and beautiful. This class is a prerequisite for another class on how to paint an original painting that sends a message to the viewer based on color, but not local color. It gives the artist an easy and exciting method to become creative and unique and never run out of subject matter or originality of color. Students will be mixing 90% of the time, receive a notebook with numerous handouts and paint an 8x 10 painting.

The workshop on color mixing is $285.00 for the two days, 9:00-4:00.

It is close enough to drive back and forth to the Augusta area or one can stay in a motel close by. There will only be a total of six people. Three more are needed to make a class.

It will be held at a students house who lives in a beautiful farm in Lilburn (part of metro Atlanta). Lovely area to do some Plein Aire painting or photos for the next painting.
